We see it in our own city. Land developers taking over East Dallas and areas where before, money wouldn't dare tred upon. But in New York they are walking a thin line. 1520 Sedgwick Ave, the housing projects where in Hip Hop was conceived in 73, is on the verge of being bought and converted to market rate housing. (Meaning kicking the poor out and bringing the yuppies in. No offense to any yuppies.) Get your history HERE and donate whatever you can to help preserve the place where young artists with no blueprints created what is now known as the art of Hip Hop. I've been bed ridden to this nasty flu thing that's been going around, so I'm out of commission. Pray that this Thera Flu and organic tea makes me better.

R.I.P. FREE WILL

I woke up to sad news on Sunday morning to a text that Freewill had passed away. At first like most people, I thought it was a hoax, but sadly enough it was true. At only 28 years old, he's been taken from us. He had a warm personality and a gorgeous smile and will be missed by us all.

New Take on the Smoking Jacket

Fiona Carswell has taken a new spin on what we consider a "smoking jacket". She has designed a built in pair of lungs into this sheek jacket for 2 reasons. First being a form of politeness. You blow your smoke into a container that sits on the interior of the collar to avoid the non smoking crowd. The twist? The see through set of lungs eventually fill up and turn black. A bit of an oxymoron I would say.

1. TEETH-As if going to the woman's clinic wasn't horrific enough. This movie brings terror to the Gyno and may have a dude think twice b4 getting to it.






2. CITY OF MEN-The producers of one of my fav flicks of all times, City of God, have brought the darker side of paradise back.
