50 Independent Designers, Modern Crafters, Hip Makers

Dallas, TX - The Urban Bazaar and Bishop Arts District have paired up for
the 5th Annual Bishop Arts Block Party. From handmade goods and artistic treasures
to the unique products of independently run retail shops and salons, this event
brings it all down to the Bishop Arts for a huge independent day, May 10th from
10am - 8pm.Not only will shoppers discover the true meaning of Independent Shopping,
but will find themselves mingling directly with the creative and talented
individuals who construct their favorite wares. Each and every purchase made will
directly influence the local economy as well as support the continued efforts of innovative artists and small business owners who preserve the celebrated pioneering spirit that keeps Dallas great. This one day event, held the day before Mother's Day, features over 50 local indie designers, makers, live musicians, and shop owners offering jewelry, handmade kids clothes and toys (no lead paint here folks!)designer clothing, handbags, handcrafted soaps, home decor, goodies for the family pet and much, much more.

Event goers will also enjoy the quaint backdrop of the Bishop Arts
District, a historicshopping and eating district just 5 minutes from downtown Dallas. Local merchants in the area will also be hosting sidewalk sales, open houses or special events tocoincide with the local vendors and entertainment shutting down thestreets for the day.

All events of the weekend are free and open to the public, so bring your
friends, the kids and even your beau (he'll love the car show!).

Looking for a Hungry Intern

I'm in dear need of a hustling intern to work side by side with me as a clothing sales rep in my showroom at the World Trade Center. Here's the deal...

-THERE'S ZERO PAY!!!: The industry experience you get will be well worth it. You'll work with very popular street wear and footwear lines out of NY, CA and MO, learn the wholesale industry, meet influential people and enjoy a comfortable work environment.

- Most of the work is typical intern grunt work (filing, answering phones, straightening 2 showrooms, getting coffee :), reading reports, etc) However, with time you will be delegated other tasks that include dealing with retailers, presenting collections and possible travel if you're up for it.

-Knowledge of excel, word and digital equipment

-The sky is the limit to how many hours you put in, but you must be there no less than twice a week.

-Access to the WTC which isn't accessible by the public.

-Possible incentives (not $$$, sorry.)

That's just in a nutshell. There is a 2 part interview process, 1 with myself and another with owner. I'm really looking for someone who is super hungry, not shy, doesn't need to be micro managed and is fashionable. You will be my right hand man or lady, and I'm about my biz.
