Lots going on this weekend. Dallas Market (where I'll be all weekend), Fashion in the Park and AFI, but The Party goes down with a big happy B-Day to Zach and Darrin!
Not because I'm Cuban, but the new Supra Cuban slip ons are amazingly sexy. I think the only place in Dallas carrying them is Centre at Mockingbird Station.
So I'm usually tauting international music, but this time I'm bringing it a bit closer to home. Thanks to Pic, my new found obsession with the music of Massachusetts's duo Chester French, has me eagerly anticipating the purchase of an album (which I rarely do). Now signed to Star Trak, Chester French are 2 very young guys that wrote, arranged, recorded and engineered all tracks in the basement of their Harvard dorm. Go to their Myspace Music page to be enlightened. Keep in mind tracks are not necessarily the "Star Trak Forumla-esque" sound you may be used to. Also check out the remix they produced for Jay-Z's "Excuse Me Miss". Enjoy!
I call it a coincidence, but I seem to be more partial to artists from countries other than the U.S. Okay, some of my favs... Datarock, Amy Winehouse, Justice, just to name a few. But a few years ago I was introduced to the music of Feist. I became an instant fan to her one of a kind sound. Her music's now a little more recognizable due to use of her tracks on commercials and tv series. (My Moon My Man and 1234) I always said I would kill to see her live. So now after 2 years she comes to Dallas! Getting tickets NOW!

Now being a resident off of Greenville, I've decided to partake in the yearly drunkeness of the St. Patricks Day parade. The weather is now where I love it and cheap beer can't go wrong.
